When I was first hired in California, I was unanimously elected Emergency Coordinator for our floor. That meant I had the pleasure of going to tedious but sometimes quite graphic and horrifying meetings of the Emergency Management Preparedness Training people. I discovered the newbies (new to California and the whole "quake" thing) were all given such delights.
When the "Big One" hits (inevitable and at any time), lights out for quite a while. And they know it. These people all live with their heads buried in the sand up to their asses. They would MOVE, otherwise.
